Daisy Williams is a distinguished visual artist and a pivotal figure in the Canadian art scene. Based in Ottawa, she operates from her own art studio where she specializes in various mediums including oil on canvas, acrylic, watercolor, and graphite pencil on paper. Her artistic approach is a unique blend of classical training and modern sensibilities, making her work both timeless and relevant.In addition to her artistic endeavors, Daisy is an avid Art Collector and serves as the Art Director for CanArt Magazine. Her expertise has been sought after in the judging panels of national art competitions, notably #TMAC2020 and #TMAC2021.

Sarah Marie Lacy is an award-winning artist and teacher who is best known for her luminous portraits and figurative works that explore the inner workings of what it means to be human. She has exhibited in Canada, Ireland and the United States, and has received several awards & grants, including first prize in the Artist Magazine’s Annual Competition. She trained in France under master artists, ran her own art school for several years and has been an invitational teacher at the National Gallery of Canada & the National Arts Centre. She is currently based in Ottawa where she paints portraits on commission and is working on her next solo exhibition of self portraits.

Your artwork can be up to 5 years old (2019 to present)
This competition is only for artists who are residents of Canada.
Make sure your photo has a resolution of at least 1000 x 1000 pixels. You can use most modern smartphones to achieve this quality.
Take a clean, focused picture of your artwork, omitting any frame or background.Shoot your photo in a well-lit space to ensure good quality.
Name the photo file after your artwork.
If you're among the top 50 artists, a short biography of up to 300 words will be displayed in the #CanArt2024 online gallery. Please include this bio with your submission.

Artwork Upload Deadline: January 16, 2025
Results Announcement: March 1, 2025
